Eye screening, health camps held

Imphal, July 31 2025:
Shija Eye Care Foundation, in collaboration with Meehul Clinic, Wabagai Bazar, Kakching district, conducted a one-day free eye check-up camp on Thursday, as part of its continued efforts to promote accessible eye health services in the region.
A release issued by Shija Eye Care Foundation stated that during the camp, a dedicated team comprising an eye specialist and trained technicians from the Foundation screened total of 34 people.
Among them, six were identified and counselled for cataract surgery, while four were advised to undergo pterygium surgery.
Additionally, five persons were referred to the base unit for further evaluation and management, it added.
Meanwhile, in connection with World Hepatitis Day, Jivan Hospital, Kakching organised a free health camp on July 29 facilitating diagnostic services such as fibro scan, lipid profile, BMD (Bone Mineral Density) and MICRAL test.
Around 200 persons benefitted from the camp.
