CKMA trio held in drug case

Imphal, April 30 2025:
Security forces arrested three members of the Chin-Kuki-Mizo Army (CKMA), accused of involvement in drug deals along the Indo-Myanmar border.
According to a release from Manipur Police Control Room, based on intelligence report, security forces conducted an operation along the Indo-Myanmar border under Behiang PS on April 28 and arrested three members of CKMA, accused of carrying out drug deals along the border.
The arrested CKMA members have been identified as Lunkhohau (48) of Kuwan, Jamhon Haokip (30) of Leajangphai, and Ngamboi Mate (28) of Laijang, all from Churachandpur district.
The security team also recovered one AK-47 rifle, a 9mm Pistol (country made), one 0.22mm Single Shot Rifle (country made), two AK-47 magazines, one 9mm Pistol Magazine (country made), 50 rounds of AK-47, five rounds of 9mm Pistol (country made), 15 rounds of 0.22mm Single Shot Rifle, three Radio Sets (Baofeng), two mobile phones, two 'Khukri', two Kenbo bikes, two sunglasses, Rs 630, a watch and an Aadhaar card.
