Free eye camp held on World Glaucoma Week

Kakching, March 29 2025:
As part of World Glaucoma Week, a one-day free eye camp was conducted by National Programme for Control of Blindness and Visual Impairment (NPCBVI) State Ophthalmic Cell at Primary Health Centre (PHC), Wangoo Laipham on Friday.
The camp held under the Directorate of Health Services and National Health Mission mission director was attended by 15 staff including ophthalmic doctor, who treated around 400 persons for eye ailments including cataract, provided medicines and presented prescription spectacles to around 150 people, while assuring glaucoma and cataract patients that State Ophthalmic Cell will carry out free operation for them.
The camp was also attended by Kakching CMO Thoudem Rajen, NPCBVI state nodal officer Bikram Khoisnam, PHC, Wangoo Laipham MO in charge Leishangthem Inaocha and other doctors and staffers.
