Siblings drown in swimming pool

Churachandpur, August 28 2024: Two brothers identified as Kamgousem (9) and Letlenchung (7), sons of Hauminthang of Pisgah Tuibong area in Churachandpur district headquarters were lost their lives due to drowning in a swimming pool near the office of Kuki Inpi, Churachandpur around 4pm on Tuesday.

The siblings, who were students of Greenwood Academy, reportedly went for swimming after returning from the Academy.

According to sources, bodies of both were pulled out from the pool by some locals, who spotted them breathless, and rushed to the Samaritan Hospital, Tuibong but doctors on duty declared them death after all their efforts proved futile.

Meanwhile, Greenwood Academy observed holiday on Wednesday to condole the untimely demise of the siblings.
