Imphal, July 26 2021: Delighted over the glorious win of Saikhom Mirabai Chanu's in the Tokyo Olympics 2020 by clinching a silver medal and opening the" medal tally for India, many organisations continued to extend heartiest congratulations and showered her with blessings and best wishes.

The Communist Party of India, Central Office expressed pride over Mirabai's feat who made the entire, country proud.

In a letter addressed to her father Saikhom Kirti Singh, D Raja, general secretary of CPI on behalf of the National Council and all members of the Party congratulated and extend best wishes to S Mirabai Chanu to earn more laurels in her sports activities and directed the State Council of the party to hold a warm reception for her.

Congratulating her family, Saikhom Enterprises gifted S Mirabai Chanu's family with whole body sanitizer tunnel, UV sterilization box, UV room sanitizer lamp and sanitizer water solution produced by the enterprises today.

Speaking on the occasion, proprietor of the enterprise, Saikhom Ratanjit said that the items have been gifted to the family to protect the family members and others from COVID-19 who visits the family to congratulate, extend best wishes and motivate Mirabai who brought laurels to the entire nation.

The Co-ordinating Body Khurai also expressed utmost admiration and respect for Mirabai who opened up India's medal account at the ongoing Tokyo Games by clinching a silver medal last Saturday.

By winning the medal Mirabai has proved the mettle of Manipuri athletes in front of the world and make the country proud, said the body in a press release.

Saluting coach Anita chanu who groomed Mirabai, the body also applauded the chief minister for promising Mirabai to offer an apt post, multiple times bigger than her present railways post, on the very day of her success and while the whole country was celebrating her feat.

All Manipur Nupi Marup lauded Mirabai Chanu for her historic feat and also congratulated MC Mary Kom, L Sushila Devi and P Sushila for representing the country in the Tokyo Olympics 2020.Communist Party of India, Lamlai Local Council and Leihou Khunai Kanba Luptin (LKKL) also joined in congratulating Mirabai Chanu and extended best wishes to her in all her future endeavours.
