Bpr/Tbl/Kak, June 26 2025: Bishnupur deputy commissioner Pooja Elangbam on Wednesday flagged off a bus carrying over 30 participants for the state-level observance of Samvidhan Hatya Diwas 2025 at Manipur State Film Development Society (MSFDS), Palace Compound, Imphal.

Samvidhan Hatya Diwas is observed to commemorate the sacrifices and resilience of those who endured the hardships of the imposition of National Emergency, 1975 .

The observance serves to honour the enduring spirit of millions who fought to restore and uphold democratic values in India.

Thoubal district administration also observed Samvidhan Hatya Diwas, marking 50 years of Emergency in the country, at the District Election Counting Hall on Wednesday.

During the programme, a poster exhibition was inaugurated by Thoubal DC Hannah Kamei in the presence of district level officers (DLOs) .

Similarly, Kakching district administration, led by DC Rohit Anand observed the day at the conference hall, DC Office Complex, Kakching district.

The event was also attended by officials and staffers of various departments.
