Imphal, February 26 2025: An assessment camp for senior citizens and persons with disabilities (PwDs) was conducted at Konthoujam Mamang Leikai in Imphal West on Wednesday under the Rashtriya Vayoshri Yojana (RVP) and ADIP Scheme.

The camp organised by Social Welfare Department in association with Composite Regional Centre for Skill Development, Rehabilitation & Empowerment of Person with Disabilities (CRCSRE), Takyel and Justice Committee on Anglo-Manipuri War 1891 Martyrs and Freedom Fighters of Kangleipak, aims to identify PwDs and senior citizens who are illegible to receive aids and assistive devises under RVP and ADIP.

Speaking on the occasion, Justice Committee chairman Joychandra Konthoujam informed that the camp was organised ahead of its foundation day, with the primary goal of extending help to senior citizens in need.

He also termed as disheartening that amid suffering of the people due to the unrest situation, political leaders are preoccupied with seeking or fighting for positions while cautioning that they would be held accountable for any unfortunate incidents occurring in the state.
