INBCA meet celebrates legacy of Christian women

Noney, January 25 2025:
The 3rd Women's Conference of the Inpui Naga Baptist Churches Association (INBCA), organised by the Women's Department under the theme "Legacy of Christian Women," got underway on Saturday at New Kabuikhullen Baptist Church, Haochong Sub-Division, Noney district.
The three-day conference commenced with a welcome song - the Hallelujah Chorus-performed by the host church.
Key highlights of the conference include workshops on women's health, a choir corppetition, a souvenir release ceremony, and the unveiling of a conference monument.
Over 1,500 delegates from 22 churches of the Inpui tribe from Nagaland and Manipur are participating in this event.
The conference will conclude on January 26, 2025 .

The main speakers at the conference include Reverend AL Khumba, executive secretary INBCA, Dr Abonlung Khumba, professor at Chil-Chil Global University, Kanglatongbi; and Reverend K Vaiton, president INBCA .
The event was graced by Reverend Apila Thangal, women secretary Manipur Baptist Convention (MBC).
Dr Jenny Gonmei, a gynaecologist with Manipur Health Services, delivered an insightful session on the topic of Women's Health.
Muidou Makunga, deputy vice-chairperson (central) MSME PCI, and K Alung Khumba, principal Kendriya Vidyalaya, NEHU, Shillong, also spoke as resource persons.
During the event, Reverend Apila Thangal unveiled the conference monolith, and a commemorative souvenir book was released by Namdigaba Riamroi, pastor Makuilongdi Baptist Church, Senapati.
Speaking to the media, Luriang Khumba, finance chairperson of the 3rd Women's Conference, explained that the conference aims to honour the legacy of Christian women, while enriching the participants both spiritually and mentally.
She noted that the primary objectives of the gathering are to foster unity and promote a healthy environment within society.
