Assam Rifles holds 'day with commander'

Imphal, November 24 2024: Assam Rifles organised 'A Day with Company Commander' programme at Kovang village with participation of 89 attendees, including AR personnel and the local civilian population.

According to PRO IGAR, the event commenced with a warm welcome address by the company commander, who emphasised AR's commitment to fostering harmony and mutual understanding between security forces and the local community.

A lecture and demonstration on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) were also conducted, imparting essential life-saving skills to the attendees as the participants showcased their talents through soulful songs and energetic dance performances, including captivating traditional dances by local girls, celebrating the region s rich cultural heritage.

Adding a sporting spirit to the day, a friendly volleyball match between AR personnel and civilians was held, further strengthening camaraderie among participants, said the PRO in a release.
