FOH holds 'Know your identity' campaign

Imphal, September 23 2024: Federation of Haomee (FOH) organised publicity cum awareness campaign on 'Ishagi Shaktam Khangminnasi (Know Your Identity)' at different locations in Kangpokpi and Chandel districts.

According to a press release issued by FOH secretary Huirem Bharat Meitei, the awareness campaign was conducted at Thayong Kom village for Nungkot, Ngarouchingjel, Tuisenphal and Thayong villages on September 11; at Phaizol Khul for Laikot Kom, Phaizol Kharam and Laikot Kharam villages on September 12; at Purum Khullen for Sinam Kom and Ngakhapat Kom villages on September 14; and Kakching Mantak Kom village on September 21.During the programmes attended by FOH president Sapamcha Jadumani and office bearers, village chiefs, village authorities, women and youth, joint resolutions were adopted for the 25 indigenous/tribes to protect the identity and territorial integrity of the state.

As Manipur is now bearing the brunt of influx of outsiders, FOH will continue to organise similar awareness campaigns, the release informed and urged all communities to participate in the same.
