Training on bamboo, Kanna craft begins

Kakching, August 23 2024: An 11-day training course on bamboo, cane and Kauna craft organised by Punjab National Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute (PNB RSETI), Kakching commenced from Friday at Kakching Wairi Ningthoujam Leikai.

The inaugural programme was attended by Kakching Municipal Council ward no.3 councillor N Memi Devi as chief guest, PNB RSETI director Khaling Themson as president and Ibeyaima Kouna Craft proprietor Y Ibeyaima as guest of honour.

In her address, Y Ibeyaima said that Kauna plant is suited to the soil of Manipur and very eco-friendly.

Pointing out that Kauna product is in high demand outside Manipur, Ibeyaima shared that people can decent income by making Kauna products.
