Multiple honours for Singjamei troupe at UP event

Imphal, January 23 2025: United Women's Social & Cultural Forum, Singjamei bagged awards at the 'Hunar Rang festival' organised by Hunar Literary and Cultural Organisation at Azamgarh in Uttar Pradesh from December 26 to 30, 2024 .

In a release, the Forum informed that its cultural troupes presented 'Maibi Jagoi' and 'Thougal Jagoi' (dance) besides staging a drama titled 'Sabitri-Satyaban', written by K Lolibala and directed by N Memcha Devi.

The forum was honoured with a special award for the drama and also received the best discipline award.

In recognition of the drama's uniqueness, the team was presented shawl, trophy, and certificate.

Additionally, national talent certificates were awarded to all the members.
