Students skip exam over teacher's absence

Thoubal, December 21 2024: Reacting against the absence of Home Science teacher in Heirok Higher Secondary School, students of the school protested by boycotting their examinations on Friday.

A student disclosed that since start of the academic session, there has been no Home Science teacher, consequently depriving the students to learn Home Science lessons, and decision to skip the examination on Friday.

The student further revealed that in-spite of transfer of a subject teacher about two months ago, the said teacher never reported for duty.

Meanwhile, the students warned authorities concerned that they will escalate their protest if a Home Science teacher is not appointed within the next five days.
