Imphal, January 18 2025: Pointing opt that 'Kansouwa Salai' is an old 'clan', All Maring Kansouwa Pacha Association stated that considering 'Kansouwa Salai' as sub-clan by some cannot be accepted.

A release issued by All Maring Kansouwa Pacha Association informed that its 59th annual meeting was convened at Kwarok Maring village in Kangpokpi district on Saturday and adopted various resolutions including fulfillment of the memorandum and subsequent reminder submitted to Maring Uparap Assembly (MUA) on November 21, 2008 and October 5, 2017 regarding 'Kansouwa Salai' .

While appreciating Maring Literature Society (MLS) for inclusion of Maring literature in academic syllabus in Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BoSEM), the meeting resolved that Kansouwa Pacha should be included as a major clan in the syllabus.
