DAJGUA campaigns continue across districts

On the second day of the Dharti Aaba Janjatiya Gram Utkarsh Abhiyan (DAJGUA)-awareness and benefit saturation campaign in Churachandpur district, a camp was conducted at M Songgel village, Tuibong sub-division on Tuesday.
The camp facilitated residents in obtainingcrucial documents, including Aadhaar, ration cards, Ayushman Bharat cards, and caste and domicile certificates, besides availing medical services ranging from consultations to basic health investigations and essential medications.
Additional camps under the DAJGUA will be conducted across Churachandpur sub-division starting Wednesday.
In Pherzawl district, the DAJGUA campaign was conducted for the third consecutive day with integrated service delivery camps at Thanlon, Senvon and Patpuihmun villages.
As a part of the canip, multi-de-partmental service stalls were set up to provide a range of services to the local residents.
The outreach covered issuance of tribe and domicile certificates, bank account opening and NPCI mapping, distribution of LPG connections, updating Aadhaar details, assistance in the filing of affidavits and enrolment under the PM-KISAN scheme.
The campaign aims to cover all 22 identified villages by June 30 and directly benefit more than 4,000 tribal households across Tipaimukh, Thanlon and Vangai blocks of the district.
On the other-hand, a van to sustain Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) initiative as a component of the DAJGUA campaign was flagged off from Mini Secretariat Complex, Senapati district on Tuesday.
The IEC mobile campaign will be conducted in far flung areas of the district to ensure coverage of every tribal household and 'Particularly Vulnerable Tribal Groups' (PVTG) household under PM-DAJGUA and Pradhan Mantri Janjati Adivasi Nyaya Maha Abhiyan (PM-JANMAN) programme.
Audio record in various tribal languages on DAJGUA will be played to ensure awareness and saturation of various government schemes.
The mobile campaign was held at Paomata block - Phuba Khuman, Phuba Thapham, Maiba, Ahi, Saranamai and Khaikho on Tuesday with similar campaigns planned in Songsong block covering Shajaoba, Makhel, Kaibi, Taobumai and Robviisolephe villages on June 19; Chilivai Phaibung block - Khongdei Khuman, Khongdei Shimphung, Khongdei on June 21; Tadubi block - Maopundung, Chowainamei Khullen, Chowainamei Khunou, Makhan, Makhan Lovadziiho and Makhan Centre on June 23; and Willong block - Makuilongdi, Oklong, Oklong Khunou and Oklong Maryram as well as Thingba Khunou, Thingba Khullen, Oinam Hills, Kapao and Koide Biisho villages under Purul block in the coming days.
In Senapati district, the second day of the IEC campaign on PM-DAJGUA was held at Mao Women Cultural Hall, Tadubi.
Around 15 stalls were set up to deliver public services including issuance of Aadhaar card, ration card, new LPG connection, Ayushman Bharat card (PM-JAY), tribe certificate, domicile certificate, PM-KISAN, opening of new account of SHGs, Jan Dhan account, social security, employment and livelihood schemes (MGNREGA, PM Vishwakarma, Mudra loans), women and child welfare (PM-MVY, ICDS Benefits, immunisation), NCD check-up, plantation drive, etc.
A total of 800 people from Tadubi block attended the IEC campaign.
