AR celebrates Father's Day, aids displaced kids

Assam Rifles conducted a community event at New Samtal village to observe World Father's Day and recognise and celebrate the vital role of fathers within the community.
According to PRO IGAR (S), highlight of the event was lecture delivered by Assam Rifles, exploring the significance of fatherhood, focusing on the unique challenges faced by fathers today and the impact of their dedication on family life.
The event was attended by 53 villagers who were also served.
Assam Rifles also organised Father's Day celebration in collaboration with women society at K Somrei Baptist Church in Kaipjong district during which the church members praised fathers' selfless sacrifices and the devotion to the proper grooming and overall well-being of their children.
The celebration was attended by 170 persons including men, women and children.
The community members also thanked Assam Rifles for its vital support to the people during the time of Manipur crisis, the PRO added in a release.
On the other-hand, Assam Rifles extended support to kids at an IDP camp in Dampi village, Churachandpur district on Saturday to aid continuation of education for 42 displaced children.
This initiative is in consistent with Assam Rifles' commitment to helping future generation affected by the ongoing turmoil in overcoming the challenges of conflict and pursuing their dreams to some extent, said the PRO in another release, adding that the initiative brought comfort and hope to the young recipients, encouraging them to continue their studies despite the challenging circumstances.
