AR celebrates festivals with Oinam, Koide locals

Senapati, May 15 2024: In a heart warming display of camaraderie and cultural bonhomie, Assam Rifles celebrated Oinam Tiilu and Nareemei Paoyi festivals with the locals of Oinam and Upper Koide villages in Senapati district on Wednesday.

The event was organised by villagers in elaboration with Assam Rifles.

As a testament to their commitment to community engagement, Assam Rifles provided materials and sponsored the traditional wrestling competition, offering cash prizes to the winners .

The initiative of Assam Rifles was aimed at promoting indigenous sports and encourage local talent, while also fostering a spirit of friendly competition and camaraderie.
