AR engages with ex-soldiers, local youth

In continuous efforts to build lasting bonds with both ex-servicemen and the local youth, Assam Rifles organised two events on Wednesday, fostering unity, support, and trust within the communities of Tengnoupal and Kamjong districts.
As per a release by PRO IGAR (S), an interactive session was held with ex-servicemen and their families at the Ex-Servicemen (ESM) Office in Moreh, Tengnoupal district.
The event, attended by 22 ESM and their families, allowed AR to address specific needs and concerns, reaffirming their commitment to supporting veterans and their loved ones during challenging times.
This direct interaction strengthened the bond between the AR and its veterans, ensuring that their voices are heard and their welfare remains a priority.
The release further added that in Kamjong district, AR organised a friendly volleyball match between the Kamjong Youth Club Volleyball Team, consisting of players from 12 border Tangkhul villages, and the AR team at Kamjong Town playground which the AR team won by 3-0 sets margin.
The event concluded with a prize distribution and meal, fostering friendship and unity among the players and participants.
Over 100 spectators from the Tangkhul Naga community also attended the programme, it further mentioned.
