DMU grants free admission to displaced students

Imphal, April 11 2025: Dhanamanjuri University (DMU), Imphal, has announced free admission for all internally displaced students pursuing or seeking admission in undergraduate, postgraduate, and PhD programmes under the university.

According to an official order issued on Friday by deputy registrar N Ritikumar Singh, the move is in pursuance of a notification issued by the directorate of university and higher education, dated July 24, 2023 .

The DMU vice-chancellor has approved the free studentship in light of the continuing displacement caused by the prevailing crisis in the state, the order stated and added that the concession will remain in effect until it is formally revoked by the state government.
