Meritorious students, sportspersons feted

Kakching, June 10 2024: Lamkang Kurchuknao Kunpun/Lamkang Students' Union ((LKK) felicitated meritorious students who cleared class X and XII examinations as well as Angshing Leivon of Challong village, who completed Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch) recently.

Outstanding sportsperson belonging to Lamkang community were also felicitated during the event held at Lamrinkhuw village, Chandel, wherein a Career Guidance Programme was also conducted.

The event was attended by LKK president Db Johny, LCF president Reverend R Khullar, Chandel additional SP (Law and Order) Shanker-jit Loitongbam and Manipur Catholic Youth Organisation (MCYO) director Reverend Father Albert Leivon Lamkang.

Dr Khullar Somichan Lamkang was resource person of the Career Guidance Programme held as part of the event.

Meanwhile, Advanced Volunteer's Organisation (AVO) of Kakching Wairi Ward No 2 felicitated JEE 2023 and NEET 2023 successful students as well as class X and XII successful students of the locality.

The event was attended by Kakching Khunou College retired principal Shougaijam Manitombi Devi as chief guest, Padma Ratna English School retired vice principal Naorem Purnima Singh as president and retired joint director (Vety & Animal Husbandry) Dr Moirangthem Ibomcha Singh as guest of honour.

Khunggang Shemgat Shagatpa Lup (KSSL) Lamjao, Lamjao Apunba Meira Paibee Lup, Peace Keeping and Protection Committee Lamjao also felicitated meritorious students who cleared class X and class XII examinations this year.

Wangjing Gram Panchyat Apunba Club Organisation (WANGGPACO) also organised similar felicitation programme at Wangjing Lakpa Iningthou site located at Wangjing Hodam-ba Mayai Leikai.
