IMA denounces violence against medical fraternity

Imphal, July 05 2024: Indian Medical Association (IMA)-Manipur State Branch (MSB) has strongly condemned the acts of violence perpetrated towards the medical fraternity in particular and the society in general.

In a release, IMA-MSB president Dr RK Lenin and honorary state secretary Dr S Goutam deplored increasing incidents of violence and intimidation of doctors and families, and attacks on healthcare institutions.

Expressing that such acts of violence will demoralise the doctors, affect in delivery of service to patients and contribution towards welfare of the society, IMA-MSB denounced the July 4 evening incident of unknown miscreants opening fire at Angel Children Hospital, Uripok Achom Leikai which is frequented children patients.
