Organisations extend aid to flood victims

Several organisations provided assistance to the flood-affected people.
Chak-Khum restaurant, located in Safdarjung, New Delhi, which specialises in Meetei cuisine, distributed food items and essential supplies to flood victims staying in relief camps at Tangkhul Avenue and Khabeisoi Sabal Leikai.
The restaurant also extended monetary aid and essential items to Moirangthem Rebika, a staff reporter of HY News.
Expressing gratitude, Tangkhul Avenue Village Authority chairman M Ngaranmi and Khabeisoi Sabal Leikai Relief Camp convenor Ch Zeeyauddin thanked Chak-Khum for their humanitarian efforts in supporting the flood-affected communities.
Chak-Khum proprietor Sanjenbam Amba, stated that the restaurant will continue to provide assistance to flood victims in the state, regardless of caste, creed or religion.
He also expressed his appreciation to all individuals who visited Chak-Khum in Delhi and contributed monetary aid for the relief efforts in Manipur.
In another gesture, the E-Pao Tengbang Lup's general secretary Soibam Pibarel and his team distributed food items to executive members of the organisation who were impacted by the floods.
Meanwhile, the Manipur Fire Service, under the state government's rescue operations, supplied 1,02,000 litres of water to flood victims at different locations, according to a statement of Manipur Fire Service Control Room.
The fire service team also evacuated an eight-month-old girl from Wangkhei Wangkheimayum and ensured her safe transfer to the hospital.
