Imphal, July 04 2024: In connection with the birth anniversary of Bharat Vikas Parishad (BVP) Manipur Prant founder general secretary Dr Suraj Prakash, BVP Manipur Prant and Indian Red Cross Society, Bishnupur district branch jointly organised a blood donation camp at RIMS Blood Bank on Thursday.

In all, 10 people donated blood at the camp, which was also attended by BVP regional patron and RIMS Department of Urology former head Dr Sinam Rajendra, RIMS former director Dr Hemam Priyoshakhi, BVP Manipur secretary Sangeeta Patani, BVP national project member (Ma-hila Sahabhagita) Joybi Devi Heikrujam, RIMS Department of Transfusion head Dr Konjengbam Rachandra, Plastic Surgery head Dr Akoijam Ibohal, BVP Manipur members Neelam Patani, Sarda Maibam, Sinam Pratima and Indian Red Cross Society Bishnupur president Dr Romen among others.

In this regard, BVP North East president Dr Moirangthem Premjit said the camp was conducted to meet shortage of blood amid the flood situation or injuries.

The Parishad has been extending relief materials and aid to flood affected families and will continue to do so in the future, he added.
