Imphal, July 02 2025:
A day-long sensitisation and hands-on training programme on e-Office for officials and staff of the Directorate of Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services was held on Wednesday at the Farmers' Training Hall, Veterinary complex, Sanjenthong.
The training, organised under the aegis of the Department of Information Technology, was attended by Veterinary and Animal Husbandry Services director RK Khogendrajit, joint director (administration) L Arunkumar, senior administrative officer Jerina and other officials of the directorate.
Speaking at the event, Khogendrajit stressed the significance of adopting the e-Office system and urged officials and staff to dispel the misconception that the system is difficult to use, as it is designed to simplify official procedures and improve administrative efficiency.
"Implementing the e-Office system will hot only streamline our work but also promote greater transparency and accountability.
With most state and centrally-sponsored schemes now processed online, the use of e-Office has become an essential requirement," he said.
The director further informed that the Directorate, having secured proper internet connectivity, is now ready to roll out the system.
Once the current training is successfully completed and staff are adequately equipped, the e-Office platform will be officially implemented in the head office.
The director also revealed plans to extend similar training sessions to district-level offices in the near future.
