JNGVO urges repairing of NH-137 (A)

Kakching, June 02 2025: Stating that condition of the NH-137(A) road stretch from Kakching Lamkhai to Wabagai Lamkhai Bazar has been deteriorating with each passing day and rendered impassable during the rainy season due to numerous potholes, Joint Non-Govemment Voluntary Organisation (JNGVO), Kakching, has urged authorities concerned to take urgent steps to address the matter.

In a statement, JNGVO pointed out that one of main reasons for worsening-condition of the road stretch is residents and shop owners on both flanks of the road piling up sand and other construction materials on the roadsides.

Regardless of repairing the said route multiple times, it will continue to remain in poor condition unless these sand piles are removed, stressed the organisation.
