Kakching, August 28 2024: A one day legal awareness programme was organised by District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Thoubal and Legal Aid Clinic, Sugnu under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) at Kha Maikei Kanba Relief Camp set up at Sugnu Guest House.

The programme held on Wednesday was attended by Sugnu Municipal Council caretaker chairperson Moirangthem Sarat as chief guest, Ching Tam Peace Committee, Sugnu ex-president Khaidem Bijoy as president and Sugnu police station OC Md Riaj Khan as guest of honour.

As part of the programme, advocate Chandam Manishwar deliberated on 'FIR, Bail, Your Rights when Arrested' and advocate B Prem Sharma on 'Benefits under Victim Compensation Schemes' as resource persons.

At the end of the function, Legal Clinic Sugnu distributed stationery items to students residing in the camp.
