Grenades threat at financial officials' houses

Imphal, July 27 2024: Unidentified armed miscreants placed one grenade each at residential complexes of an administrative officer and the managing director of a finance company, both in Imphal area, on Saturday.

According to a police source, one grenade was found placed at the residence of administrative officer of Rural Engineering department Haobijam Balidas (56) of Thangapat Harikhagok Mapal at about 5am on Saturday.

Upon detecting the grenade, family members of Balidas informed police and accordingly a team of Porompat PS retrieved the grenade at about 6.15am.A case has been registered in this connection.

On the other hand, unidentified miscreants placed a grenade at the residence of Imphal Finance Co-operative Thrift & Credit Society Limited managing director Wairokpam Gune-shor (54) son of late Nilakomol of Maisnam Leikai under Singjamei police station.

A team of Singjamei PS retrieved the grenade and registered a case.
