KDA employees to cease work from Jul 29

Bishnupur, July 26 2024: As authorities concerned have not responded positively to their demands despite staging sit-in protest from July 24, Loktak Development Authority (LDA) employees have resolved to launch cease work agitation from July 29 .

The decision was taken on the sidelines of a sit-in protest held at the office of LDA Workers and Employees' Union located at Toupokpi in Bishnupur district on Friday.

Addressing the participants, Union secretary P Shyamkumar demanded authorities concerned to ensure equal pay for same work, pension facilities similar to other employees, frame specific rules and regulations for LDA and facilitate promotion of non-technical employees on seniority basis.

The cease work strike will continue till fulfilment of the demands, he cautioned.
