Revised Thadou-Kuki MIL textbook released

Kangpokpi, June 26 2025: In a milestone for Thadou-Kuki language education, the revised edition of the Thadou-Kuki MIL textbook for Class XI and XII, titled 'Thugil Lagil Bu Thimthu le Jaila' (Prose and Poetry), was released at Elite Higher Secondary School, Kangpokpi on Thursday.

The textbook, edited by Dr DL Haokip and published by Thadou-Kuki Literature Society (TKLS), Manipur, was released and dedicated by Kangpokpi Town Churches Fellowship chairman reverend K Hangshing, in the presence of TKLS chairman Dr Ngam-khohao Haokip, secretary Jamkholim Kipgen, finance secretary Zamhao Haokip, and members Paogin Singsit, Jampu Kipgen, Thangkhochon Haokip and Mangcha Chongloi.

Dr Ngamkhohao informed that the revision was undertaken following directives from the Council of Higher Secondary Education, Manipur, in alignment with the National Education Policy 2020 and the National Curriculum Framework 2023 .

The book will be available at Elite Higher Secondary School, Kangpokpi.

For students in Churachandpur, Chandel, and Tengnoupal districts, it will be stocked at KBC Book Store, Tuibong, Churachandpur.
