JNIMS eyes top-notch healthcare services

Imphal, June 25 2025: Jawaharlal Nehru Institute of Medical Sciences (JNIMS) is eyeing to provide high-quality healthcare services at minimal cost, according to a hospital official, who also conceded that the institute needs public support in its endeavour to ensure the best medical care to the people.

The official also mentioned that the institute's authorities constantly engage in addressing any inconveniences faced by patients in availing treatment service.

Regarding CMHT and PMJAY, the official said that beneficiaries can avail the necessary medicines from empanelled pharmacies opened round the clock inside and around the campus.

The empanelled pharmacies were selected after rigorous screening and in fulfilment of the criteria as per the guidelines.

A receipt of the medicines given to patients is submitted to the authority and verified before being forwarded to the Directorate, explained the official, adding that medicines prescribed to patients do not specify brand or company name so that the party concerned may procure the prescribed medicines from empanelled pharmacies at retail prices, provided the medicines are in stock.

However, medicines administered to patients differ according to the type of ailment or condition and duration of their stay for treatment.
