CNPO puts restriction on construction works

Chandel, November 23 2024: Chandel Naga People's Organisation (CNPO) has directed ail stakeholders, agencies, parties, organisations, departments and the general public of Chandel that any construction works/activities namely, roads, bridges, bunkers, checkpoints, border fencing, are strictly prohibited within Chandel district under the CNPO's jurisdiction without obtaining prior permission and consent from the village authority concerned and tribe of that area.

In an office memorandum, CNPO president D Thamdok Francis and general secretary SH Kalenchung instructed its constituent units to ensure strict compliance with this memorandum, enforce prohibition on unauthorised construction works and verify authenticity of permissions and consents.
