77th foundation anniversary of CPI held

Along with unveiling the statue of Jananeta Hijam Irabot, 77 years of existence of CPI in Manipur was celebrated at the office of CPI Bishnupur District Council at Khoirakpan, Bishnupur district on Friday.
The celebration was attended by CPI Manipur Control Commission member Langol Iboyaima, Central Control commission member Dr M Nara, CPI Manipur State Council secretary L Thoiren and Moirang Local Council veteran Oinam Jugin as presidium members.
Twenty-one selected CPI Bishnupur district members were also honoured with presentation of shawl by the presidium members.
Speaking on the occasion, L Thoiren recalled that the CPI was established in Manipur with the primary objective of bringing change in the society for the betterment of the people.
He also said that the party has been standing firm for the territorial integrity of Manipur.
