Bomb blast loss for Jiribam denizens: Subhash

Imphal, June 23 2024: While condemning the bomb blast at the warehouses of Leisembi Private Limited and Matik Mangal Private Limited, Matik Mangal managing director Tongbram Subhash has said that the two companies belonged to all communities and as such, is a huge loss for the people of Jiribam.

Subhash was speaking to newspersons at Manipur Press Club on Sunday, with regard to the bomb attack at his house and the warehouse of the two companies located adjacently, at Guwakhal, Borobekra in Jiribam district.

Subhash continued that the two companies were set up with the objective of developing every community in Jiribam district through production of organic goods.

The organic goods produced by the two companies are even sold abroad.

However, the bomb attack has impacted every community of the district and as such, he urged all concerned not to repeat such acts in the future.

Joining the media briefing, United Labour Association secretary Thokchom Suman mentioned the unfortunate incidents faced by labourers in some areas a few days ago alongside the attack at the warehouse of the two companies.

The secretary questioned how long the people have to tolerate such incidents, while further questioning how the attack could have occurred in the presence of security forces nearby the area.

If the central and state governments failed to investigate the matter, it would not be wrong to assume that the labourers may have to arm themselves, Suman cautioned.
