KHASIL appeals to extend PMMSY deadline

Imphal, August 22 2024: Stating that the form submission period for Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana (PMMSY) by state fisheries department for providing financial assistance to fishers i.e from August 16 to 23 is very limited, Khallei Sillup (KHASIL) Manipur has urged fisheries department to extend at least 10 days from the last date i.e August 23 .

In a release, KHASIL stressed that as several documents are needed for submission of the form including non-encumbrance certificate, trace map, up to date jamabandi, caste/tribe certificate and lease, etc., it is impossible for fishermen to possess requisite documents from office and submit the forms within eight days.

So, it urged to extend the last date of form submission in the interest of the fishing community.
