Foundation stone laid for Sawombung fire sub-station

Imphal, January 20 2025:
Lamlai MLA Kh Ibomcha on Monday laid the foundation stone for the new fire service sub-station at Sawombung SDO complex.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA Ibomcha informed that construction of the new fire sub-station at Sawombung is one of many developmental projects taken up in Lamlai assembly constituency under the supervision of chief minister N Biren.
He said that he has also plan to construct a multi-storeyed building for Biramangol College and to develop it into a world-class college.
Kh Ibomcha also said that plans are afoot for building of sewerage project and an AYUSH hospital at Lamlai AC along with other developmental projects.
Asserting that without CM's support, all these projects would not have come to fruition, he contended the state will not move forward if political leaders are opposed on every issue and not given respect.
Hence, all leaders irrespective of party affiliation should be shown proper respect, he further appealed.
On the other hand, Manipur Fire Service director L Nabachandra said that Manipur Fire Service may not be the biggest or most modern institution but it has been very much active in times of natural or manmade disasters as shown in recent floods that hit the state.
He also assured that he will see to that the new fire service sub-station coming up at Sawombung functions properly and help the public in times of need.
The function was also attended by Imphal East deputy commissioner Khumanthem Diana and other officials.
