St Paul's Hr Sec School promotes innovation, culture

Kakching, July 19 2025: In its initiative to promote 100 per cent participation and showcase the hidden talents of students while creating awareness about science, technology and diverse cultures, St Paul's Higher Secondary School in Liwa Changning, Chandel organised a science-cum-cultural exhibition at its premises on Saturday.

The event was attended by Chandel ZEO Hrangbung Starson as chief guest; ZEO, Chandel AI Langhu Mojesh as guest of honour; and St Joseph Higher Secondary School, Sangaiprou, Imphal principal reverend Father Bonio Frederick as special guest.

The programme commenced with an invocation prayer led by St Peter's Higher Secondary School, Monsang Pantha vice-principal reverend Father Anthony Sen, followed by a performance by the Believers Orchestra, comprising students of St Paul's Boarding.

School principal reverend Father Benjamin Kodai Kaje stated that the purpose of the science cum-cultural exhibition was to translate knowledge into practical ac tion, encouraging students to utilise their knowledge to solve societal challenges.

He emphasised the importance of students being rooted in their culture and traditions while advancing in science and technology.

Speaking as the chief guest, Chandel ZEO praised the school administration for organising the event and highlighted the significance of equipping students with knowledge of advancing science and technologies.

He stressed the need to amalgamate science and culture in the modern world, incorporating traditional knowledge into the modern generation.

The cultural exhibition featured performances such as choreography by LKG and UKG students, duet music, bamboo dance, Manipuri and Burmese dance, cultural fusion and an attire show.

The event also included a special appearance by music icon Wilson Rangang.

Later, students from all classes showcased their innovative creations in the scientific exhibition, which was held as a competition and inspected by dignitaries and judges.

The event was attended by teachers, parents, chiefs of neighbouring villages and distinguished invitees.
