MITTACI artistes perform at Guwahati

Kakching, January 18 2025: Meetei Indigenous Thang-Ta & Cultural Institute (MITTACI), Kongba Kshetri Leikai artistes on Saturday presented a performance of Thang-Ta, 'Cheirol Jagoi' and 'Basanta Ras' on the second day of the National Festival of Music and Dance 2025 being held at Shilpagram, Panjabari, Guwahati, Assam.

The five-day festival organised by North East Zone Cultural Centre, Dimapur, Nagaland under the aegis of the Ministry of Culture began on Friday and will continue till January 21.The MITTACI troupe consisting of seven women and six men is led by the institute's secretary and Manipur State Kala Aka-demi Youth Talent Award (Thang-Ta) awardee Mutum Herbjit.

The Festival is being participated by artistes from 16 states.
