SAI NERC's Fit India Week concludes

Sports Authority of India (SAI), North East Regional Centre, Imphal, successfully conducted the first phase of its Fit India Week 2024 campaign at Sainik School, Imphal, Pangei in Imphal East district.
The programme held from December 11 to 14 was organised in coordination with SAI Training Centre (STC) in-charge Maibam Ramani Chanu, in connection with the school's 48th annual athletic meet.
According to a statement issued by SAI NERC, Imphal, the campaign commenced with activities such as march-past, inter-house athletic competitions, and pledge-taking for fitness.
The closing ceremony on December 14 featuring the finals of athletic events, march past, Thang-Ta demonstration, and prize distribution ceremony, was attended by Sainik School Imphal principal Col A Rajiv as the chief guest, while vice-principal Lt Col Satish Kumar Singh presided over the function in the presence of Ramani Chanu as the guest of honour.
The initiative is part of SAI NERC's efforts to promote the Fit India movement through sporting events, indigenous games, fitness assessments, and awareness activities across schools, colleges, and universities in the region, the statement added.
