DESAM gives utter failure tag to Jiri hospital

Jiribam, May 15 2024: Democratic Students' Alliance of Ma nipur (DESAM), Jiribam District Council called as utter failure administration of 50-bedded Jiribam hospital located at Ningsingkhul.

Speaking to media persons on Wednesday, Council president Th Santosh informed that Alliance members on Tuesday carried out inspection of the hospital on receipt of specific information during which it came to light that there was no staff in the OPD ticket counter causing inconveniences to the patients with absence Of DMS and MO in-charge further compounding problems besieging the hospital.

Amidst the demands by several organisations in Jiribam to address the shortcomings and ensure proper operation of the hospital, the utilisation of its doctors in other hospital is unfortunate, he condemned, while appealing to repost the doctors to the hospital.

Santosh further urged the government to repair the oxygen plant in the hospital.
