KANMUCOS Ltd launches "Back to School" campaign

Tengnoupal, June 13 2025: Kawar Nupuinu Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited (KANMUCOS Ltd), Laiching Kangshang on June 11 launched the "Back to School" campaign at Kasturba Gandhi Balika Vidyalaya (KGBV), Langol Khullen, Tengnoupal district.

This initiative, a community-driven learning effort under the Manipur State Rural Livelihoods Mission (MSRLM), is inspired by the Kudumbashree model of Kerala and was introduced as a pilot for Tengnoupal District.

As per a release issued by the KANMUCOS Ltd, the campaign was participated by 124 SHG members from 2 Village Level Federation namely, Tangbangna VLF, Langol Khullen Village and Kertilna VLF, Khunbi Village.

The "Back to School" campaign aims to address key socio-economic challenges by offering school-like training sessions that enhance the capacity of Self-Help Groups (SHGs), empower women, and promote inclusive community development.

The program focuses on crucial thematic areas including Social Inclusion and Social Development (SISD), Food, Nutrition, Health and WASH (FNHW), Gender Equality, and PRI-CBO Convergence.

Through this initiative, SHG members will be equipped with essential knowledge and practical tools to become active agents of change within their families, communities, and local governance structures.

The campaign was graced by MD Nazmul Huda Khan, MCS, Sub-Divisional Officer of Machi, and was also graced by the presence of Arif Sajad, SDC Tengnoupal, along with staff from Machi Primary Health Centre (PHC).

The campaign was flagged off by Melthra Tarao, District Mission Manager(MSRLM), Tpl District.

More than just a learning intervention, the "Back to School" campaign represents a pathway to empowerment - ensuring that women are informed, included, and meaningfully engaged in all aspects of development.
