Imphal, September 12 2024: 'Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2024' will be observed from September 14 to October 1 under the theme of 'Swabhav Swachhata - Sanskaar Swachhata' followed by Swachh Bharat Diwas celebration on October 2.This campaign will be jointly organised by Municipal Administration, Housing & Urban Development Department (MAHUD) and Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj (RD&PR).

The Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 will feature activities such as 'Swachhata ki Bhaagidari', a widespread engagement with citizens, communities, and organisation to raise awareness and trigger citizen involvement; 'Sampoorna Swachhata' including 'Swachhata Lakshit', mega cleanliness drives with citizen across urban and rural areas and 'SafaiMitra Suraksha Shivirs', a single-window for health and welfare camps for 'SafaiMitras' for preventive health care treatment and linkages with various welfare schemes of central and state governments.

The government has requested all departments of the state and local bodies to join in the observance of SHS 2024 campaign.
