Training programme for TGTs begins

Imphal, May 11 2025:
A five-day training programme on 'Competency Based Learning for TGTs in English' posted in Kendriya Vidyalayas under Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan (KVS), Tinsukia Region commenced from Sunday at Kendriya Vidyalaya No 1, Imphal (Lamphelpat) .
In a release, KV No 1 principal Vishwanath Namaram informed that the training is being conducted by Sri Aurobindo Society as part of the first phase of Rupantar Programme, with the second scheduled for conduct from June 30 to July 4 at same institute.

Altogether, 23 participants from various KVs of KVS Tinsukia Region are attending the training programme, the inauguration of session of which was attended by KVS, Tinsukia deputy commissioner Taorem Pritam and Vishwa-nath Namaram.
In his address, T Pritam emphasised the role of teachers in nation building and instilling important values and dispositions in the students they teach.
He also spoke about the utmost importance of providing necessary skills and knowledge to the teachers through such training programmes if recommendations of NEP 2020, with regard to promotion of competency based learning and critical thinking in the schools and amongst the students, are to be successfully and effectively done.
