Community grooming/counselling very much essential in Manipur's education system: Prof W Chandbabu

In the evolving Manipur's education system, community grooming/counselingplays a vital role in addressing the holistic needs of students, encompassing their academic, emotional, and social wellbeing, and promoting a supportive learning environment, said Prof Wahengbam Chandbabu.
This statement was made by Dhanamanjuri University, Vice-Chancellor, Prof Wahengbam Chandbabu during his reception ceremony on being appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of DM University.
The event held at Hiyanglam Keithel was jointly organised by Malem Ngalhanba Lup (Mangal) Hiyanglam and Literary & Sporting Organisation (LISPO).
Speaking in this connection, Prof W Chandbabu continued that the education system during his time and today's education system has undergone significant changes.
He said that one must try to adapt to the evolving education system to excel and succeed in life.
Saying that teachers play an important role in upbringing a child, particularly in shaping their personality, academic potential, and social-emotional growth.
He appeals for equal contribution from the students to strive for excellence in their career.
While emphasizing the need of broadening community grooming at the local community level, he called for participation of successful people in guiding the young students to thrive and excel in their career.
The reception ceremony was also attended by retd teachers of Wabagai Higher Secondary School, Ksh Mangol, Huidrom Gouri, Huidrom Samungou, Thokchom Tomba (former Minister of Manipur) and Ksh Manihal (Retd Principal) and former staff member of Wabagai Higher Secondary School, M Ibomcha as presidium members.
Professor Wahengbam Chandbabu Singh who hailed from Hiyanglam Awang Leikai is the eldest son of W Meghachandra and (Late) W Jasumati Devi.
