Students' induction programme held

DM Community College/DDU KAUSHAL Kendra, DM College of Science conducted its students' induction programme for the newly admitted B Voc 1st semester (2025-26) students on Saturday at DM College of Science, Imphal central hall.
A release issued by DM Community College informed that the programme was attended by DM College of Science principal & Dhanamanjuri University Human and Environmental Science dean Prof.Ksh Birbal Singh and DM Community College/DDU-KAUSHAL Kendra, DM College of Science director & Dhanamanjuri University School of Life Sciences dean Prof L Hem-chandra Singh as presidium members.
Prof Ksh Birbal Singh highlighted the importance of vocational courses in higher education within the framework of NEP 2020 and inspired all newly admitted students for a bright career.
Prof L Hemchandra Singh emphasised the need of induction programme in all higher educational institutions.
He also highlighted the unique nature of B Voc curriculum as skill-based education designed to equip students with practical expertise and make them job-ready in various professional sectors.
Relating that the programme helped bridge the gap between academic learning and industry requirements for graduates, he mentioned all details of the trades imparting in DM Community College/DDU-KAUSHAL Kendra such as Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT), Operating Theatre Technology (OTT), Radio Imaging Technology (RIT), Pharmaceutical Analysis & Quality Assurance (PAQA), Fruits & Vegetables Technology (FVT), and Mass communication & Multimedia Technology (MCMT) .
DM Community College/DDU-KAUSHAL Kendra Mass communication & Multimedia Technology faculty Kh Ishomani Singh delivered the special induction programme speech mentioning the insight of B Voc programme in alignment with NEP 2020 .
