Imphal, October 06 2024: Patanjali Yoga Nongin, the first-ever online yoga platform in the state, organised a felicitation programme to honour folk singer Benita Laishram at Chingmeirong, here, on Sunday.

The programme was held in recognition of her remarkable performance at the national-level folk song competition "Bharat Ka Amrit Kalash", where she finished in the fourth position.

Benita Laishram represented Manipur in the prestigious reality show hosted by Doordarshan Kendra National, using the platform to showcase the rich cultural heritage of the state's diverse communities.

Her soulful renditions gained nationwide recognition, making her one of the standout performers in the competition.

In acknowledgment of her achievements, members of Patanjali Yoga Nongin presented Benita and her team cash reward of Rs 30,000 and gifts as a token of appreciation.

During the event, the audience was treated to a special performance by Benita, who sang some of her most heartfelt songs.
