Tribute paid to CPI leader Pheiroijam Parijat

Imphal, March 06 2025: The Pheiroijam Parijat Memorial Trust (PPMT) and Communist Party of India (CPI) Lamlai Local Council observed the 10th death anniversary of CPI leader Pheiroijam Parijat at Irawat Park, Chalou on Thursday.

The commemorative event was attended by CPI leaders Dr M Nara, L Sotinkumar, L Thoiren, L Iboyaima, PPMT chairman and Parijat's son Dr Pheiroijam Wupesh among others.

Floral tributes were also paid to the statue of late CPI leader Pheiroijam Parijat.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Nara longed for a leader like Hijam Irawat to unite the people and prevent conflict in the society along with stressing the importance of nurturing leaders like Pheiroijam Parijat, who treasured and followed the ideals of Lamyanba Hijam Irawat.
