Power minister assured job test results: Candidates

Imphal, July 29 2024: Candidates who appeared in the recruitment examination for various posts in MSPDCL and MSPCL held in 2020 after the notification issued in 2019 met power minister Th Biswajit Singh on Monday.

During the meeting, the minister reportedly assured of declaring results of the recruitment exam.

A candidate recounted to media persons at Manipur Press Club that a recruitment examination for various posts in MSPDCL and MSPCL was conducted in 2020 in sync with a notification issued in 2019.However, results of the recruitment examination remained undeclared till date, prompting the candidates to meet minister Th Biswajit on Monday.

During the short meeting, minister Biswajit gave the assurance to declare results of the recruitment examination, he said and expressed confidence that the minister will keep his words and initiate requisite process at the earliest.

Mention may be made her that around 37,000 candidates appeared in the recruitment examination for various posts in MSPDCL and MSPCL conducted in January, 2020 .

Earlier, candidates stormed the official residence of minister Biswajit at Sanjenthong at about 11 am with the demand to declare recruitment results.

A police team stopped the candidates but later allowed to meet the minister.
