Imphal, September 28 2024:
Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) and National Identity Protection Council (NIPCO) jointly observed the 24th Manipur Integrity & Solidarity Day at Sana Janmasthan club located at Keishamthong Moirang Ningthou Leirak on Saturday.
Speaking on the occasion, NIPCO president Oinam Premjit emphasised that it is irrational for the Central government to sanction crores of rupees for setting up of mini airport for Kukis.
If such mini airport is constructed then the Central government's new policy for disruption of Manipur territory is evident.
Asking how long people will endure the lies and attacks of Kukis, he said that Meeteis have been shouting for integrity and communal harmony when attempts are made for disintegration of Manipur.
He reminded the mass rally organised by AMKIL and NIPCO attended by around 6 lakhs people for safeguarding the integrity of Manipur in September 28, 2000 .
AMKIL president Lourembam Nganbi stressed that the commemoration is especially relevant today, as the state's integrity is once again under threat from the influx of illegal immigrants and the activities of armed narco-terrorists.
The event was attended by Nupi Samaj president Thokchom Ramani, Tammi Chingmi Apunba Nupi Lup president Yambem Momo and representatives of several bodies and organisations.
