IOCL briefs Guv on infrastructure; SRL airs woes

Imphal, June 28 2025:
Indian Oil Corporation Ltd (IOCL) Imphal Divisional Office divisional retail sales head Rajkumar Mohen Singh, along with his team, called on Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla at Raj Bhavan on Saturday.
In a release, Raj Bhavan PRO informed that during the meeting, the officials provided an update on various infrastructure projects currently being undertaken by IOCL in the state, including the expansion of Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) facilities and the installation of electric vehicle (EV) charging stations.
They also discussed the National Gas Grid, a major initiative by the Government of India designed to establish a nationwide network of interconnected gas pipelines to ensure efficient distribution and availability of natural gas across the country.
Additionally, the IOCL team apprised the Governor of measures being taken to enhance the supply and distribution of LPG and other petroleum products within Manipur, it said.
The release continued that Governor Bhalla advised timely completion of the projects to effectively cater to the needs of the public.
Meanwhile, a delegation representing Sambu Raiping Long (SRL) also met with the Governor at Raj Bhavan on Saturday to voice a range of pressing issues affecting their respective villages, the release added.
The representatives raised concerns over the deteriorating road conditions, inadequate healthcare services, lack of quality educational infrastructure, and limited access to essential public services.
They urged the Governor to initiate steps for infrastructural development and improved service delivery in their areas.
The Governor gave the delegation a patient hearing and assured them that the issues raised would be taken up with the relevant authorities for appropriate action, it said.
