Top R-Day honour for Longmai club

Noney, January 28 2025: Longmai-1 Modern Social and Cultural Youth Club, Noney district secured the first prize in the Cultural Dance Competition held during the Folk Dance Festival and Beating the Retreat Ceremony of the Republic Day celebration at the 1st Battalion Manipur Rifles Parade Ground in Imphal.

The group was awarded a cash prize of Rs 1 lakh for their performance while second prize winner - Performing Arts and Culture Evolution group of Thoubal district was presented Rs 75,000, and third prize winner - Cultural Dance Troupe from Tamenglong district had to be contented with Rs 50,000.The event featured performances by 14 dance troupes, celebrating Manipur's vibrant cultural heritage.
